Project - Kincaid Estates
Project Name: Kincaid Estates
Location: Anchorage, AK
Client: White Raven Development
Schedule: July 20th to September 25th 2004

The Project:
In the summer of 2004, in just over 60 days, Wilder turned a 130 acre gravel pit that had exhausted its resources into a graded, usable piece of land for a 400 lot subdivision called Kincaid Estates. Based primarily on the strength of our reputation, Wilder won the bid for the project with the private developer. The major components to the job consisted of grubbing, excavating, grading and topsoil placement. The owner needed the job finished in just 60 calendar days - so Wilder went to work - with an equipment fleet of 2 scraper spreads (641, 631, total of 12 scrapers), 2 D9 quads, a D10, 2 D9s, a D8, 2 blades, 2 excavators, 3 rock trucks, 4 rollers, a D6, and 2 grade-checkers with GPS. The job was finished at breakneck speed, burning an average of 2200 gallons of fuel per day.

Challenges and Highlights:
The major potential challenge to this job was bad weather, which would hinder the large fleet of machinery needed to get it done. This challenge turned into a highlight, as the weather was absolutely phenomenal for the duration of the project. Wilder crews moved an average of 30,000 cubic yards of material per shift, for a total of 1,270,000 cubic yards for the whole job. The ecstatic owner was thrilled to see his project becoming a reality after Wilder completed the huge project on time - in just 60 days.
