MatCon®

MatCon®^TM Liquid binder is commercially available through Wilder Construction Company for the construction of impermeable caps, covers, and working surfaces. The binder is used in the manufacture of MatCon® hot-mix asphalt with tightly specified aggregates provided by asphalt mixing facilities. MatCon® hot-mix is installed using conventional asphalt paving practices by quality asphalt paving companies experienced in the lay-down of asphalt in accordance with nation-wide state Department's of Transportation QA/QC procedures and specifications.

Sale of MatCon® is subject to availability and suitability for application at a given location at Wilder's discretion. Availability may be affected by proximity of materials suppliers and/or the size of site requirements. Suitability for an application depends upon Wilder's willingness to warrant MatCon®'s performance under specific site conditions. Measurement for payment is based upon the square yard-inch as installed. Prices include delivery of binder liquid to customer's chosen asphalt mixing facility.

As part of the patented MatCon® system, Wilder can also provide MatCon® Liquid binder for the manufacture and installation of an open graded, highly permeable MatCon® lift. This lift can be used as a leak detection system when sandwiched between upper and lower impermeable four-inch lifts of MatCon®.

In addition to MatCon® binder sufficient to achieve specified performance for the total number of square yard-inches required, the unit prices cover all costs associated with Wilder's provision of the following product technical support and warrantee:

Constructability review of construction plans and specifications
Guide specifications for MatCon® hot-mix manufacture and installation
Pre-qualification review and approval of hot-mix asphalt plant and paving contractor
Acceptance of aggregates provided by asphalt plant/paving contractor or others
Mix design for job-mix formula using MatCon® Liquid and aggregate materials
Quality Control (QC) for MatCon® Liquid delivered to asphalt plant
QC for MatCon® hot-mix manufacture by asphalt plant
QC acceptance for subgrade surface and site preparation prior to MatCon® installation
QC for MatCon® lay-down and compaction
MatCon® Material and Workmanship Warranty, dependant upon Wilder's concurrence that the Guidance Specification and QC for the application have been followed.
