Provide and coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and all types of projects. Assist with determinations of what projects to bid, strategies and approaches.

• Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assigned, including preparation of entire cost estimate, identifying potential subcontractors and material suppliers, and preparing work schedules.
• Review and incorporate historical data from production schedules, and labor and equipment usage.
• Assemble technical and cost proposals for internal review, approval and submittal.
• Provide technical assistance to field personnel in preparing change orders, estimates, contract negotiations, and analysis of alternative work methods.
• Maintain historical bid records, prospective bid lists, and historical cost databases.

• Four (4) year engineering or construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience.
• Minimum 2 years estimating experience in civil construction for public works owners.
• Ability to read, understand, and evaluate blueprints, drawings and other technical project related specifications.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques including proficiency in estimating software.
