Contract Administrator









Position Title: Project Engineer
   
Location:   Corporate Office
   
Reports To: Adminstrative Manager - Everett Branch

Primary Responsibilities

Contracts:
Prepare and compile initial documents including Contract, Performance and Retainage Bonds. Evaluate and purchase Certificates of Insurance. Assist with and attend pre-construction meetings. Provide administrative support of all contract documents including change orders, certified payroll and EEO/MBE compliance. Set up and maintain contract files for jobs bid by the Everett Branch. Evaluate and apply contract procedures. Review project specifications and insure contractor compliance.

Contract Reporting:
Compile and maintain records documenting contract costs, schedule and performance. Provide status information to owners, project management and other departments. Train and assist site personnel with reporting and record keeping such as daily costs and pay estimate billings.

Accounting:
Prepare, summarize and monitor progress estimates, payments and retainage for projects.

Liaison:
Assist with coordination of information between owners, contractors, project management, and other departments. Interface with all parties regarding contract matters.

Other:
Other duties may include; Payroll, Subcontract Administration Accounts Receivables and Account Payable.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in contract administration activities including contract management. Minimum 1 year technical, office or business education or training. Computer knowledge, including word processing and spreadsheet proficiency. Excellent interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels & ability to work cooperatively with others. Knowledge of conventional contracting techniques and concepts; ability to read and assimilate documents. Familiarity with public and private contract requirements. Excellent accuracy, organization, follow-through, prioritization, and management of multiple tasks and strict deadlines in a fast paced office.
