Projects - Campus Glen
Project Name: Campus Glen Development
Location: 3400 Willamette Dr., Lacey, WA 98516
Owner: Meridian Campus Development Partners
Schedule: September 7, 2004 through June 28, 2005

Project Scope:
The Campus Glen Development is the first phase of the master plan for Meridian Campus at Hawks Prairie in Lacey, Washington. The 33 acre site will provide 172 residential lots for single family homes. The project consists of mass grading, paving, concrete flatwork and all wet and dry utilities. Each lot requires service of water, storm, sanitary sewer and dry utilities. In addition, the project required 3000 lineal feet of offsite storm drainage that flows to a nearby infiltration pond.

Project Challenges:
One challenge of the project was the installation of the sanitary sewer, which reached depths of 28’. The offsite storm drainage also presented some challenges of size and depth. The largest portion of the offsite storm was 60” reinforced concrete pipe with 96” catch basins at an average depth of approximately 20’. Perhaps the greatest challenge of the Campus Glen Project was that all the work was performed during the fall, winter and spring.
